Privacy Policy

How Fondsites handles personal data, including advertising, cookies, and your rights.

Last updated: 2026-02-04

Who we are

Fondsites operates this network of guides and databases and acts as the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect and why

We collect limited, security-oriented technical data (such as IP address, user agent, pages visited, and timestamps) so we can keep the site reliable, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors. If you contact us, we process the information you send so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation. If we enable analytics, we use lightweight, privacy-friendly measurement to understand aggregate traffic and performance; where consent is required, we ask first.

When we display advertising (including Google AdSense), our advertising partners may collect information from your browser or device, including cookies or similar identifiers, IP address, device information, and page interactions, to deliver and measure ads. Depending on your consent settings and local law, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

We do not sell personal data.

Depending on the context, we rely on legitimate interests (security and site reliability), consent (for non-essential cookies/analytics and for advertising personalization where required), and performance of a contract if we ever need to deliver services you request.

You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or adjusting cookie preferences (where shown).

Data sharing and transfers

We use trusted service providers (for hosting, content delivery, email) who act as processors under written agreements. Data may be transferred outside your country; when it leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We also work with advertising partners such as Google, who may collect and process information as described in this policy. These partners may act as independent controllers of the data they collect.

Retention

We keep server and security logs only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, typically no longer than 30 days unless we’re investigating a specific issue. Contact correspondence is retained while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain records. Aggregated analytics, when used, are retained without identifying individuals.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, security, analytics (if enabled), and advertising (if enabled). Where required, we request your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

If ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to:

  • Serve ads (including contextual or personalized ads, depending on your consent settings and local law).
  • Limit ad frequency, measure ad performance, and detect fraud.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If a consent banner is available, you can update your choices at any time.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We may use Google AdSense to display ads. Google uses cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, where permitted by law and your consent choices. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, review Google’s Privacy Policy, or manage ad personalization in Google Ads Settings.

Regional disclosures (EEA/UK/Switzerland)

If we enable advertising for visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we request consent for ad personalization and the use of cookies or similar identifiers where required before serving personalized ads. Where required, we provide a way for visitors to review or update those choices.

Your rights

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, you can request: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection (including to profiling), and data portability. You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise your rights; we will respond without undue delay.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, least-privilege access, monitoring) to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us promptly if you believe data has been compromised.

Children

Fondsites is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes means you acknowledge the updated notice.
