How to play
The cellar has a rhythm of its own. Each morning, choose a cheese to make; as the days pass, the wheels on your racks will need attention as well. Some ask to be flipped and brushed, while others need washing or piercing. Tend them in time, keep mold at bay, and sell them when they reach ripeness.
Every task uses the same simple gesture: hold the space bar, mouse button, or touchscreen, then release in the green zone. Select a wheel’s card when you want to tend it first. The pause button, P, and Escape pause the game; M turns the sound on or off.
A season lasts 21 days. You can fill the racks with several wheels, but every new cheese adds another job to the day. Watch for care requests and think about which wheel needs you next. The pleasure is in finding a pace: making something new, looking after what is already aging, and bringing a finished wheel to market.
About the simulation
Cave Aged turns the work of a cheese cellar into a small game about attention and timing. Its stages are a playful simplification, not instructions for making or aging food. If the game leaves you curious about what happens beyond the screen, the guides below offer a place to start reading about cheese and affinage.
