Fondsites is a small publisher with an unusual shape: it is mostly software. The center of the site is the Arcade — a floor of original browser games we built ourselves, each one a working simulation of something real. Light is actually ray-traced through the diamond you cut in Brilliance . The timegrapher in Beat Error reads a simulated hairspring, not an animation. The grid in Frequency sags the way grids sag. Around the games sit the Workbench — free calculators and diagnostic tools, each documented with its assumptions — and a set of guidebook libraries that hold the reading behind all of it.
Fondsites is published by TensorSpace, Inc., a U.S. software company, and everything on it is edited by JJ Ben-Joseph , TensorSpace’s founder. JJ is an engineer whose background runs through software, AI, and national-security-adjacent technical programs, including cybersecurity and biosecurity work — which is why the Cybersecurity Encyclopedia and Synthetic Biology Lab read the way they do. The games are hand-written WebGL; several of their rooms and props were modelled and measured in Blender before a line of shader code was written; the physics inside them is unit-tested. None of that can be skimmed from someone else’s site, which is rather the point.
What we actually maintain
Fondsites once spanned forty topic libraries. We have narrowed the maintained network to the eight where we can hold the standard we want — every guidebook sourced, every library backed by working tools or a signature game, every page reviewed by the editor accountable for it:

The other libraries have been archived: their pages remain online for readers who arrive from a game or an old link, but they are unlisted and we are not asking search engines to rank them. If an archived library later earns full sourcing and a proper toolset, it comes back. That direction of travel — earn the listing, don’t assume it — is the standard the whole site runs on.
How the work is made
The games and tools are built by hand, as software, and tested like software; nothing in the Arcade is generated. The guidebooks are written with AI assistance and reviewed, revised, and approved by a human editor before publication — the editorial policy describes exactly how drafting, review, illustration, sourcing, and corrections work, including what AI does and does not decide. Hero images are AI-generated editorial illustrations and are disclosed as such on the pages that use them.
The editorial method is the same everywhere: orient the beginner, name the tradeoffs, show the decision, admit uncertainty. Guides that touch health, safety, legal, or financial questions say plainly what a web page cannot do and point to qualified help.
